South Hills Chrysler Jeep Kia is Proud to Take Part in Taste of the Township

Friday, April 19 from 7 to 11 p.m. more than 20 restaurants will be participating in the 12th annual Taste of the Township at Valley Brook Country Club. This yearly event is a fundraiser for Peters Township Public Library, and South Hills Chrysler Jeep Kia is proud to take part!

Last year there were nearly 400 attendees, and 26 food vendors, making it the most successful event to date.

We will leave the cooking to the professionals, as over 20 vendors from the area will be serving samples from their restaurants. There will also be live entertainment, as Lucarelli Jazz will be performing, and plenty of silent and Chinese auction items. With all this going on, you are sure to find something that sparks your interest at the Taste of the Township!

The Kia Sportage: Safe and Stylish

J.D. Power and Associates recently named their choices for the safest SUVs of 2012 and 2013. They named 8 vehicles total, one of which is the 2012 Kia Sportage, which also received the IIHS Top Safety Pick for 2012 and 4 stars for overall crash protection for the FWD model, and 5 out of 5 stars for the AWD model. You can find the 2012 Sportage at South Hills Chrysler Jeep Doge in McMurray, Pennsylvania.

The Kia Sportage comes in four available trims, base, LX, EX, and SX. The Sportage comes standard with 16-inch wheels, with available 17 and 18-inch wheels in certain models. The base engine is a 176-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. Also available on the SX trim is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged 260 horsepower engine. Standard models come with FWD, while all-wheel drive is optional.

Kia Uncovers New Premium Sedan – The Kia Cadenza

There is going to be a new full-size sedan on the block. Kia revealed the new 2014 Cadenza at the North American International Auto Show. The sedan is targeted to those who want an affordable, premium, full-size sedan.

The Kia Cadenza is offering a 3.3-liter V6 engine with direct injection. This six-speed automatic produces a 2014 Kia Cadenza whopping 293 hp. This powerful engine is paired with a smooth, sweeping exterior design. Kia has designed the Cadenza to have a long “Tiger Nose” that is similar to other Kia models display, but still gives the Cadenza a distinct front end.

Inside the sedan, there is a cabin packed with technology and features that many drivers today are angling for. For starters, features include a backup camera, an advanced navigation system, an eight-inch touch screen display, leather seats, and a 550-watt 12- speaker audio system to name a few. Additional packages include more advanced features such as a panoramic sunroof, a retractable sun visor, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, and advanced cruise control.

Tom Loveless, executive vice president for sales at Kia Motors America said, “This flagship sedan signals a new era for our brand and delivers a number of premium features we’ve never offered before. All that technology is wrapped in simple and Kia Cadenzasophisticated design.”

New Year’s Resolutions

Every New Year, quite a few us make our annual resolutions, only to break them shortly into the year.  With only an 8% of people able to successfully achieve their goals every year, the odds are this year will be no different.  You can help increase the likelihood of success by following a few simple tips though and begin the New Year fresh!

South Hill’s has a New Leading Man

Bradley Cooper, George Clooney, and Ryan Gosling may lead the pack in Hollywood, but wait until you meet Aaron Lynn, South Hills Chrysler Jeep Kia’s new Internet Sales Manager and all around fun guy.

When Aaron isn’t busy at South Hills’ McMurray dealership, you will find him watching hockey and cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins.  But just because Aaron is a die-hard hockey fan, doesn’t mean he lacks that emotional, soft side.  In fact, Aaron has cried every night since Jordan Staal got traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. 

It’s a good thing Aaron has Jet, a hairy little Yorkie, to keep him in high spirits.  Sometimes Aaron gets a little jealous of how much hair his best friend Jet has, which could very well be what attracted him to his previous internet sales job for an alternative hair solutions company—and by alternative hair solutions we do mean wig company.   

If Aaron’s not sobbing or watching hockey, he can be found in the sky.  A licensed pilot, Aaron is sometimes confused for Tom Cruise in Top Gun.  Of course Aaron’s favorite mode of transportation is his Kia Sorento, which you will often find him driving around town in while either catching up on the hockey scores or belting out “Danger Zone”.
