2012 Jeep Patriot Named One of KBB’s 10 Most Fuel-Efficient SUVs

Kelley Blue Book has released their 10 Most Fuel-Efficient SUVs and Crossovers, with the 2012 Jeep Patriot making the list.   Taking into consideration the most fuel-efficient utility vehicles in overall combined fuel economy, according to the EPA, the Jeep Patriot comes in with a combined 25 mpg or 23/29 mpg city/highway.

With its brand-centric styling and off-road capabilities, the 2012 Patriot brings Jeep tradition to the compact SUV market while providing the car-like handling and affordability characterized by most crossovers.  This combination gives drivers one of the most comfortable driving experiences available in an off-road SUV.

Highlighted by Jeep’s classic, rugged styling, the Patriot is available as either a 2×4 or 4×4 with a 2.4L DOHC 16V dVVT I-4 engine producing 172 horsepower.  Features include premium cloth or leather-trimmed bucket seats, fog lamps, power heated fold-away mirrors, remote keyless entry and Uconnect™.

The Jeep Patriot also received a 2012 Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety receiving the highest score in front, side, rollover, and rear strength tests.  Standard safety features on the Patriot include electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, and advanced multistage airbags.

Jeep Offers New Limited-Edition Grand Cherokee, Compass, & Patriot Models

After an overwhelmingly positive consumer response to the “Name My Ride” contest, Jeep has announced it will produce three new limited-edition Jeep vehicles: the Grand Cherokee, Compass and Patriot Altitude models.

When Jeep introduced the distinctive, “blacked-out” concept Grand Cherokee at the Houston Auto Show in January and asked users to name the model they couldn’t have imagined the response they would get.  With more than 100,000 entries from enthusiasts of the Jeep brand, “Altitude” emerged as the winning vehicle name.

The new, limited-edition Grand Cherokee, Compass, and Patriot Altitude models will arrive in Jeep showrooms in May.

“These new Jeep Altitude editions will clearly have a broad appeal among consumers, especially those looking for something distinctive, edgy, and just plain cool,” said Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC.
