South Hills Chrysler Jeep Kia helped raise $1,100 for Central Christian Academy in Houston, PA with Chrysler’s Drive for the Kids™ program. Sponsored by the school’s Parent Teacher Association, the fundraising event was held on Saturday April 21 in conjunction with the Linda Powell Memorial Auction.
Fundraiser participants earned a $10 contribution to Central Christian Academy from Chrysler by test driving a Town & Country, Chrysler’s award winning minivan, or a Chrysler 200 sedan. South Hills CJK supplied the vehicles while a volunteer from the dealership assisted with the test drives and fundraiser.
“The school originally set a goal of 100 test drives in order to raise $1000, to see the school and community surpass that goal by $100 was amazing!” said Kate Schoedel, Marketing Director of South Hills Chrysler Jeep Kia. “Drive for the Kids™ is a mutually beneficial program and we’re pleased to support our local schools and enjoy demonstrating terrific, world class products like the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and Chrysler 200 sedan.”
Introduced in 1993, Chrysler’s Drive for the Kids™ program helps support local schools in the communities where the company does business. Chrysler dealers have worked with parents and educators in communities across the nation with contributions reaching an estimated $4 million. Donations go directly to schools for student needs from playgrounds and field trips, to reading programs and computers. Chrysler is proud of this tradition of community involvement.
